Aloha Golf Course Costa del Sol, Spain

Aloha Golf Course is designed in the Mecca of European Golfon the Costa del Sol. It is located in Nueva Andaluciawhich is 8 kilometers from Marbella and 3 kilometers fromthe Famous Puerto Banus.
The course is full of different types of vegetation allover the region. It is a natural golf course, and no onehole out of the 18 in Aloha is similar to the other. TheAloha Golf Course with 9 and 18 hole was designed by JavierArana, in 1973. He is amongst the best known golfarchitects in Spain and unfortunately died just two yearsafter designing this beautiful course.
Aloha Golf was one of the initial courses to come up, whengolf courses started developing in this part of Spain. Thecourse has been designed on a place which was at the outsetcalled 'Finca del Angel'.
Aloha is a flawlessly maintained course and will test yourprecision skill with the natural banks, protected greens, water hazards and wide-ranging vegetation. You will enjoyplaying on this course for its diversity. This regionoffers excellent climate, with more than 300 days ofsunshine in a year, which makes Aloha one of the bestgolfing destinations all the year round. There is a 5 starhotel, Gran Hotel Melia Don Pepe very close to the golfcourse, which is a wonderful place to stay for golfers whowant to enjoy some rounds of in this region.
As Aloha is a natural course there are a number of streamsand lakes all over which makes it essential to concentrateon your game while playing here. You have the spectacularview of the Penablanca Mountain in the backdrop with itsbeautiful vegetation making Aloha a very attractive courseto play. It has a driving range with putting green as wellas well maintained 9 hole short course for novices orgolfers who want to have a short game or practice before abig one. Visitors are allowed on the Aloha Golf Course, even though it is a private club. The course is famous forits tricky greens, which can make or break your game ofgolf.
A number of improvements have been made in the Aloha golfcourse as well as the clubhouse in the past few years. Theclub has well kept undulating fairways which are generallywide enough all the way, but you may be in trouble if youwander off to any side. The holes have very individual andhave very appropriate names. For instance the eleventh iscalled Las Aguilas or Eagles, because this hole is situatedvery near the mountains.
You will have no problem in using the Aloha Golf Club as itis open to general public particularly between May throughSeptember. It is important to make your booking in advanceand your handicap card is a must. In the busier months likeNovember and April, members are typically given precedenceand a non-member may have problem getting a tee time.Playing on the Aloha Golf Club is an occasion to cherish.
