More NFL Player News

There have been a lot of player movement again in the NFL. Here is a highlight of some of those moves.

Former Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Brad Johnson has signed with the Dallas Cowboys and will be Tony Romo's backup. Johnson signed a three year contract.

Chicago Bears Running Back Thomas Jones will be leaving Chicago and going to the New York Jets. The Jets will be giving up a second round draft choice in exchange for Jones. Jones rushed for 1,210 yards and six touchdowns during the 2006 season helping the Bears reach the Super Bowl.

Running Back Travis Henry will be leaving the Tennessee Titans and going to the Denver Broncos. Henry signed a 5 year deal with $12 million in guaranteed bonuses.
The Seattle Seahawks agreed to a six year deal with Atlanta Falcons Defensive End Patrick Kerney including a $19.5 million guarantee.

The New England Patriots acquired Miami Dolphin's leading receiver Wes Welker for an undisclosed draft pick. Welker had 67 catches for 687 yards last year.

Quarterback Joey Harrington was released by the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins also released tight end Steve McMichael who has been their starter since 2002.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed defensive end Kevin Carter who was released by Miami last week.

Ashley Lelie found a new home when he signed with the San Francisco 49er's. He signed a two year agreement.

There are sure to be more movement in the near future and all the teams will look different in 2007.
