The Law According to Washington Redskins Mike Shanahan

Mike Shanahan has recently arrived at the Washington Redskins organization and he is already laying down the law for his players in an attempt to establish accountability.

Some of Shanahan's rules are pretty basic such as running on and off the field, fully completing drills, and entering and exiting the huddle with speed. Most coachs already have these types of rules. However, Shanahan has gone a step further and implemented some traffic rules. He will not allow his players to double parking or park in the handicap zones. If players violate either of these rules, they are subject to extra running at practice.

The new discipline and rules were enacted in an attempt to get the team to work as a team. It's a way to make sure a player doesn't think he can break a rule and slide without consequences and then gradually think they are above everyone else by continually breaking the rules and getting by with it. Everyone will be treated the same and hopefully they will all become one.
