On 02/24/08 we will be assisting a family here in the Twin Cities with an important fundraiser. The fundraiser is for their 6-year-old son, Zachary White, who has been battling medulloblastoma. This is a rare form of childhood cancer that affects less than 2 out of every 100,000 children.
In May 06, while only 4-years-old, Zachary was diagnosed with this terrible disease. The tumor was successfully removed, but then he had to face 18 months of therapy to re-learn basic functions. After 6 weeks of radiation and a year of chemotherapy, it was thought Zachary had defeated this disease.
Unfortunately after 4 months out of therapy, and just before last Christmas, Zachary's family discovered that his cancer had returned. Zachary is facing a much more aggressive treatment this time around.
A fund raiser is being held for Zachary and his family to raise money for his treatment. We invite all to either join if you reside in the Twin Cities, or assist with a donation to assist this well deserving family. Donations and/or questions can be referred to Heather or Chris at 763-420-9384.
